Age Regulations for Volunteers on the Work Site
Individuals volunteering at the construction site must be 18 years of age or older to use power tools or ladders. Under Federal laws, children under the age of 16 are not allowed to work at a construction site. However, there are many opportunities for youth under 16 years of age to help with Rockbridge Area Habitat for Humanity. You can volunteer in the Lexington Resale Store or the Buena Vista ReStore, or help out in many other ways. Visit Habitat Youth Programs for ideas, or come up with your own!

We also welcome Care-a-vanners! Visit www.habitat.org/rv for more information.

Rockbridge Habitat for Humanity builds houses that are Energy Star Certified.  This means that our houses are well insulated, energy-efficient homes, which save our homeowners approximately 30-35% on heating and cooling costs per year.  Click here for more information on Energy Star.
