Our dream is for every Rockbridge area family to live in decent, safe, and affordable housing. Make that dream a reality with your financial support in the following ways:
Donations to Rockbridge Area Habitat help deserving families achieve the dream of owning their own home. Habitat uses donations of money, materials and volunteer labor to help our partner families construct their own modest but well-built and energy-efficient homes. Partner families then purchase the homes and repay no- or low-interest subsidized mortgages.
Homeownership benefits individuals, families and society in many ways. A study performed by the National Association of Realtors, "The Social Benefits of Homeownership and Stable Housing," found that “stable housing boosts the educational performance of children, induces higher participation in civic and volunteering activity, improves healthcare outcomes, lowers crime rates, and lessens welfare dependency.”
Donations made to Rockbridge Area Habitat for Humanity are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. For more information on tax credits, click here.

- Please send a tax-deductible gift by check to Rockbridge Area Habitat for Humanity, 30 East Preston St., Lexington, VA 24450.
- Call our office at 540-463-3770 to donate by credit card.
- Give a stock gift to Habitat. Giving a stock gift to Habitat is very easy: Simply call your broker, and provide him or her with our account number at Edward Jones (237-07849-16, DTC # 0057) and the amount to be gifted. You will avoid paying capital gains on the amount of your gift, and you will receive a tax deduction for the value of the stocks.
