Help us to build decent, affordable housing in Rockbridge County. All skill levels are welcome for Habitat
building projects, and we are currently working on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Contact
a coordinator at (540) 463-3770 or at habitat@rockbridge.net to sign up to volunteer!
Don't want to help in construction? No problem! We have many
opportunities available in the office and ReSale Store. Do you like to
fund raise or raise support? Do you have a desire to help families? Can
you help recruit volunteers? Join a committee! You can also help with
special events. Or price items, organize, and ring up customers in our Resale Store. Call or email today for more information!
To volunteer for/on a committee, contact Dan Walz, Executive Director at (540) 463-3770 or at habitat@rockbridge.net.
We are proud to partner with Americorps/VISTA to provide service opportunities...Learn more at www.americorps.org.
We also welcome Care-a-vanners! Visit www.habitat.org/rv for more information.
Age Regulations for Volunteers on the Work Site
Individuals volunteering at the construction site must be 18 years of
age or older to use power tools or ladders. Under Federal laws,
children under the age of 16 are not allowed to work at a construction
site. However, there are many opportunities for youth under 16 years of
age to help with Rockbridge Area Habitat for Humanity. You can
volunteer in our Resale Store, help out in many other ways. Visit Habitat Youth Programs for ideas, or come up with your own!
