"It was a wonderful experience. Our hostess was gracious and generous. She made us feel very welcomed in her home. We departed feeling that we had created a genuine friendship." - M. & J. Pace
We find comfortable accommodations for W&L parents and families with local hosts in Lexington and Rockbridge County homes during Parents and Family Weekend. These guest rooms fill up quickly, so reserve your spot online.*
All proceeds go to build new homes in Greenhouse Village - a mixed-income
neighborhood helping Habitat homebuyers realize their dream of a safe, affordable
home. Your support through Habitat Hotel changes the lives of local families and
reinforces the community service provided by W&L students in the chapter.
Thank you for making a difference!
Interested in being a host? It's a great way to meet people and support this annual Habitat fundraiser! Hosts are asked to provide clean sheets and towels for each bedroom and access to a private bathroom (not shared with the family). The W&L Habitat Chapter and Habitat staff will do the rest: pair families with local hosts, gather payment and provide families and hosts with each other's contact information, so you can get in touch regarding arrival and departure times. We'll also drop off a welcome packet for the W&L family for you to leave on their bed. For more information or to sign up to host a family (or two, if your house is spacious!) contact Jackie Calhoun: firstname.lastname@example.org.
