Are you interested in helping build a home for a Habitat family and gaining hands-on construction experience? Rockbridge Area Habitat for Humanity in Lexington, VA has been hosting Collegiate Challenge teams for more than 8 years. Located near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, the historic college town of Lexington is a place you’ll not soon forget.
Your team will arrive Sunday evening and will have hands-on experience building a Habitat home Monday thru Friday. No previous building experience is necessary! Two construction supervisors will teach you the skills you need to know for each day's task.
At some point during your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to visit one of the many nearby hiking trails or visit scenic areas like Goshen Pass. You may also want to tour historical points of interest (Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson once lived and worked here) and visit the charming shops in downtown Lexington.
